July 31st, 2000

Lately I have been noticing that many of my friends do not buckle up, even with the new "Click it or Ticket" Law enforced.  I don't care if you are driving a mile or 1000085097350935 miles, for the love of god, buckle up. I do not want to lose anyone.   Also, July 31st, 2002 marks the two year anniversary of when my Grandma, Daneille and I got in the car accident that would have cost us our lives if not for airbags and SEATBELTS.  And the freaky thing is Daneille and I weren't wearing our belts 5 minutes prior to the accident.  Something went off in my head and I yelled at myself (yes, I do that) and Daneille to buckle up.  I remember laying in the ER on the stretcher with a neck brace, bleeding, with random IV's hooked up and what not and having a police officer telling me the only that kept me alive was that seatbelt.  So please my friends, and people who aren't my friends, BUCKLE UP.  I'm sure most of you have heard the fact that about 75% of all fatal accidents occur within 5 miles of their home.  Scary eh?

The black suburan is ours, the red truck was the one the smashed into us.  If you can see the light brown pole in the background a little ways, that where we turning left into.  As you can see, we didnt end up there.  That's me in the left corner laying down getting all the attention :)

Better view of the other people's truck.  I think the driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt and she was major hurt.

Another view of the accident...hehe we backed up traffic for miles for a couple hours!! Daneille and I are in the corner on the left. She's the one sitting up, you can barely make out her blonde hair.

Better view of our car...I was sitting in the front passangers seat. Ouch.

WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS!!!
